Cleaning Mayapur involves daily efforts to maintain the sanctity and beauty of Sri Mayapur Dham. Our team cleans streets, sacred rivers, temples, and community spaces, installs and maintains recycling bins, and promotes eco-friendly waste management. These activities ensure a clean, sustainable environment for residents and visitors.
The Mayapur Green Recycling BIN is an eco-friendly initiative to manage waste sustainably. Strategically placed across Sri Mayapur Dham, these bins collect recyclable materials, which are responsibly processed to reduce waste and promote environmental health. This project fosters cleanliness and awareness in the community.
Sri Mayapur Dham has been experiencing severe deforestation over the past eight years, primarily due to rapid population growth, construction activities, and road expansion. This has had a significant impact on the ecological balance and natural beauty of this sacred land. Mayapur Clean & Green has obtained permission from the local village authority (Panchayat) as well as from several private landowners to plant trees. However, these permissions only allow us to plant the trees — all expenses related to planting and long-term maintenance are fully covered by Mayapur Clean & Green.
To carry out this mission responsibly, we must provide all necessary inputs, including:
Saplings (which we either cultivate ourselves or purchase from external nurseries) Organic fertilizer. Handmade bamboo protective fencing. And most importantly, long-term care
Mayapur Clean & Green commits to caring for each young tree for a minimum of three years. This includes daily watering, monitoring the tree’s health, repairing or replacing protective fencing when needed, and in some cases transplanting the tree to a more suitable location to ensure its survival. To sustain these efforts, we depend on the support of our community. Volunteers are unfortunately very limited and usually able to help only for a day or a few days at a time
You can support this initiative by adopting a tree with a one-time contribution of 3,000 rupees. This amount helps cover the essential planting materials and part of the labor required to care for the tree for at least three years. By planting native trees and flowering plants, we aim to purify the environment, provide shade, and promote ecological balance while inspiring a culture of care for nature.
